Deniz Kıraç Uncu
Program Director
Deniz completed her undergraduate degree at Koç University Faculty of Law. In 2020, she participated in the Erasmus program at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Together with Koç University’s Global Aid student society, which she also chaired, she developed many projects, primarily focused on education. Deciding to shape her career around projects where she can create greater impact, Deniz currently works as the Program Manager of Future For Fish.
Deniz Ceren Canlı
Project Specialist
Deniz completed her undergraduate degree in International Relations at Koç University. During her studies, she also completed a minor in Sociology, specializing in Gender Equality, Global Political Economy, and Global Learning and Leadership programs. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Global Studies at the University of Gothenburg.
Deniz has been involved in the writing and coordination processes of various European Union and social impact projects. With over three years of professional experience, she first worked in the fields of gender equality and education, and later served for 2.5 years as a Project Assistant in the field of digital transformation within the scope of an EU-funded project.
Interested in social impact and sustainability and aiming to contribute to systemic change, Deniz works part-time as a Project Specialist at Future for Fish.
Deniz Özen
Project Specialist
Deniz completed his undergraduate degree in Economics and Business Administration at Istanbul Bilgi University and founded the university’s Economics Club. Deniz has been a volunteer with Kafessiz Turkey since 2020, and in April 2023 he joined the team as a Project Specialist to use his efforts for the benefit of as many animals as possible. Deniz also holds a master’s degree in Social Projects and NGO Management.
Prof. Dr. Deniz Çoban
Academic Advisor
Prof. Dr. Deniz Çoban graduated from the Faculty of Fisheries at Ege University in 1997. Since 2009, he has been a faculty member at Aydın Adnan Menderes University, where he has held the title of Professor since 2015.
Between 2002 and 2003, he conducted research at the Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology, and in May 2012, he carried out academic studies at Humboldt University of Berlin.
In addition to contributing to numerous respected projects within the aquaculture sector, Prof. Dr. Çoban has been serving as Academic Advisor to the Future for Fish program since 2023, guided by the belief that fish welfare is intrinsically linked to the future of the sector.
