1. Identity of the Data Controller
Pursuant to the Law on the Protection of Personal Data No. 6698 (“Law”), your personal data will be processed by the Farm Animal Protection Association (“Association”), as the data controller, within the scope explained below.

2. Your Personal Data Collected
The personal data collected varies depending on the actions you take on our website.

• If you signed our campaign: your first name, last name, and email address are collected. If you provide your consent, we send you our emails containing updates about campaigns and the Association’s activities.

• If you became a volunteer for Kafessiz Turkey: information relating to your first name, last name, email address, city, university, profession, phone number, and the areas you would like to support is collected.

• If you became a supporter of Kafessiz Turkey: your first name, last name, email address, phone number, and information relating to the content of the messages you submit are collected.

• If you joined the Tavuklar Firarda WhatsApp Group: your first name, last name, email address, phone number, and group messages are collected.

3. Purposes of Processing Personal Data
Your personal data collected throughout your relationship with us is processed for the following purposes:

• Ensuring communication with you,

• Conducting campaign and analysis activities and managing relevant processes by our units in line with the Association’s purposes,

• Carrying out efforts to communicate with the right people in order to increase our supporter and volunteer base,

• Fulfilling obligations related to the Association and civil society processes and maintaining relevant records,

• Fulfilling obligations under the Associations Law No. 5253, the Regulation on Associations, and other applicable legislation,

• Ensuring the legal, technical, and commercial security of the Association and relevant persons who have a business relationship with the Association.

4. To Whom and For What Purpose Personal Data May Be Transferred
Your collected personal data may be transferred, within the scope of the personal data processing conditions and purposes set forth in Articles 8 and 9 of the Law, to institutions or organizations and companies with whom we have established partnerships to receive support, as well as to legally authorized public institutions and legally authorized private persons, for the purpose of achieving the objectives stated above.

5. Method and Legal Basis for Collecting Personal Data
Your personal data is collected, based on the legal grounds of the Association fulfilling its legal obligations and the Association’s legitimate interests, provided that your fundamental rights and freedoms are not harmed, through the channel you use to contact us within the scope of your relationship with our Association, including our phone lines, email, and our website.

6. Your Rights as the Data Subject
At any time, you have the right to request that we no longer contact you. When you click the “unsubscribe” option in the emails sent to you, we will stop sending you emails.

As a data subject under the Law (KVKK), you have the right to:

• Learn whether your personal data is processed,

• Request information if your personal data has been processed,

• Learn the purpose of processing your personal data and whether it is used in accordance with that purpose,

• Learn the third parties to whom your personal data is transferred domestically or abroad,

• Request correction of your personal data if it is processed incompletely or inaccurately,

• Request deletion or destruction of your personal data within the framework of the conditions stipulated in the KVKK legislation,

• Request notification of the transactions carried out under items (v) and (vi) to third parties to whom your personal data has been transferred,

• Object to the occurrence of a result against you arising from the analysis of processed data exclusively through automated systems,

• Request compensation for damages in case you suffer damages due to the unlawful processing of your personal data.

7. How Can You Exercise Your Rights?
In order to exercise your rights listed above and arising from the Law, you may submit your applications by completing the KVKK Application Form available on our website and applying to our Association using one of the methods specified in the form.

After completing the form, you must submit it to us either by visiting our association headquarters in person or by sending a notification via a notary public. Our Association Headquarters Address is: Asmalı Mescit Mahallesi, İstiklal Caddesi, Elhamra Han No:130, Daire:21, Beyoğlu, Istanbul.

If your application made for these purposes requires an additional cost, you may be required to pay the fee determined by the Personal Data Protection Board under the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles of Application to the Data Controller. If a written response is provided to your application, no fee will be charged for up to the first 10 (ten) pages, and for each page over 10 (ten) pages, the processing fee stipulated by the Personal Data Protection Board will be charged. If the response to the application is provided in a recording medium such as a CD or flash drive, the fee that may be requested by the Association cannot exceed the cost of the recording medium.

In your application, which will include explanations regarding the right you wish to exercise as a data subject and for the purposes of exercising your rights stated above, the requested matter must be clear and understandable, and it must be related to you personally. If you are acting on behalf of another person, you will be required to submit a notarized special power of attorney.

Under the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles of Application to the Data Controller, your applications must include the following: name and surname, signature, Turkish ID number, residential or workplace address, email address, phone and fax number, and the elements of the request. Applications that do not include these elements will be rejected by the Association.

Your requests included in your application will be concluded as soon as possible and at the latest within 30 (thirty) days, depending on the nature of the request.
